Chapter 2

'Tis but a Flesh Wound

'Tis but a Flesh Wound

Mother was cooking some porridge, but I knew it would never be enough for

all of us and she would not eat until we all smile and say ‘I am Full’

after getting up from the floor but I suppose that this is why humans have

complex emotions, to ensure survival, to make the most of the offsprings

survive, even at the cost of the parent's lives and yet again I was

confused and in state of mild dissatisfaction that I never realised when

did the sharp nail at the end of the table collided with my skin’s end

and the bloodied aftermath was witnessed by the package I was supposed

to deliver, yet all I said to mother was “ ‘Tis but a flesh wound” but

my mother cancelled all my activities for an hour and I started pondering

again, Human emotions can cause harm or save lives, did mother nature

really gambled with us on this evolution?
